Experience the most amazing getaway at

Dufault’s Island Outpost

If you want the fly-in cabin experience in Northerwestern Ontario without having to fly, come experience our outpost on Dufault’s Island. Drive in to our lodge at Caribou Falls Landing, from where we’ll take you, via boat, five miles to the north side of Umfreville Lake on the English River to Dufault Island. The walleye, northern pike, and smallmouth bass fishing are out of this world and you don’t have to stray far from the island to catch lots of fish!

The cabin is at the south-eastern tip of the island and has amazing views to watch the sunrise and the sunset. With only one cabin on the island, you will not have to worry about your neighbors being noisy as you have the whole entire island to your fishing party.

The Cabin

This was a private cabin until we purchased it in 2017 and after some upgrades of a new kitchen and such we have put our Halley’s Camps stamp of approval on it. This historic cabin mixed with the best walleye, northern and smallmouth bass fishing gives fishermen the perfect retreat! In 2019, we installed a brand new solar system and still have a generator for backup which both can handle CPAP machines. We also offer our guests clean drinking water and ice for the duration of their stay.

Inside the cabin we have a large fully equipped kitchen, a 10’ kitchen table, 2 refrigerators, and a propane stove. Off the screened in deck, we have a propane fish cooker and bbq for guests to use. We also have a bathroom with a vanity and indoor shower with the outhouses not being too far from the cabin.
