October hunting season has come and gone, and for the most part, we had favourable weather throughout the autumn months, except for that untimely dump of snow that fell on us mid-October. Of course, some of us were not too pleased on that day, while others were completely delighted with the white stuff and the prospects of the upcoming winter activities of snowmobiling and ice fishing.
Hockey Seaon has begun, and another childhood memory has come flooding back. During our family get togethers at Grandpa Louie and Grandma Yvonne's, there was always a hockey game on the television. The family always took great pleasure from a good game of hockey, and there was always someone hollering at the TV during a particularly good or bad play, and arguments then ensued as to who was the better team or better player. This year, Halley's Camps has sponsored a set of hockey jerseys for our local minor hockey club, which is comprised of many dedicated volunteers working hard to ensure that the kids who want to play hockey in our community have a fun-filled experience. A great cause and a terrific bunch of kids! Good luck to the Comets!
With the end of the fishing season comes time to pack up for the winter. Below is a photo of some of the boats from Kettle Falls being towed by our tugboat over to Caribou for storage.

A beautiful photo of a cow and calf moose by the waters edge.

A successful bow hunt.
