July 2007
Welcome to the Halley's Camps, Lodges and Outposts July Newsletter! What a month June was - a mix of weather from hot to mild, with a few wild overnight rain and thunder storms thrown in for good measure. And the fishing has remained consistently fabulous through it all.

Things are well at all of the main camps. Over at Caribou, Chris and Amber are busy with their little ones, and are in the planning stages for some major overhauls to the Landing. Jeff is doing well at One Man Lake Lodge, and has been just great at taking care of business as usual. And, at Kettle, Sharon and George are just going with the flow, and naturally, great as can be. As a matter of fact, Sharon is still managing all of the cooking at Kettle, and the compliments never quit. One guest has even stated that the steak dinner at Kettle Falls Lodge is as good as any Kansas City steakhouse!

Below is a photo taken of Routine Falls, just north of Caribou Falls Landing. The level of water shown in the photo is at a record high according to Chris. Of course, levels on our section of the English River never fluctuate too greatly, as levels are carefully controlled by the Caribou Falls Hydro Electric Dam.
