Title: Hunting and fishing lodge manager (fly-in lodge) Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Weekend, Day, Evening Salary: To be negotiated Anticipated Start Date: 2008/05/01 Location: Minaki, Ontario (1 vacancy) Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required Experience: 3 - 5 years Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English Human Resources Responsibility: 1 - 20 Work Setting: Hunting and fishing lodge or camp Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Computerized reservation system, Windows, MS Word Specific Skills: Develop and implement policies and procedures for daily operations, Negotiate with suppliers for the provision of materials and supplies, Negotiate with clients for the use of facilities, Set work schedules, Respond to customer complaints, Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses, Enforce policies and procedures Additional Skills: Supervise staff, Conduct performance reviews, Conduct training sessions, Perform front desk duties, Sell products and services, Perform maintenance activities on buildings, property and equipment, Arrange for and oversee maintenance activities, Operate and maintain vehicles used on property Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use Other: Applicant must possess a valid Canadian commercial pilot's licence with a minimum of 2000 hours experience.
