Ron has had many many delightful fishing experiences with Halleys over the past years. I, too, have had absolutely marvelous trips with him staying at ONE MAN.  The food was scrumptous and so much of it, and I am sure you stocked the lake just for me.  I caught so many fish my arm ached at night---one morning I caught around 40 large fish with catching my lunch in the first 2 casts. WOW! Thanks for the great time.  I hope to come again.
Kathy and Ron Marshall

Had another great time at Caribou Falls this spring!
John King

My wife and I have been coming up for about 10-12 years and have never found a better, more accomidating vacation spot.
Mike Livingston

We had a great time, made unforgettable memories and ate until we couldn't eat any more. Job well done and we can't wait to get back there!
Thanks,

Just had a wonderful week on Rex Lake Sept 20-25.  We were very lucky and caught the last great week of weather, 6 days of 70 degrees F. with sunshine and little wind.  Just fantastic.  We fished Rex Lake 4 days and Little Rex 2 days and over the 6 days we caught and released 417 fish among us. In addition to the great fishing we saw two bull moose and a number of eagles.  And, the beavers were very industrious. New lodges everywhere. This was our third lake with you... Thanks for a great time and a great facility.
Thanks again,
Kerry, Chuck, & Bob

Thank you both – you said we would enjoy ourselves and we were not disappointed. What a truly outstanding trip, and the Halley family were incredible hosts. My Dad ranked this trip as a Top 5 experience in his life.
Tim May

George and Sharon, I wanted to take the time to thank you on behalf of the entire "Rader Men" for a most memorable fishing experience. What great weather and fishing we had. The top water bite was unbelieveable as was our (fly out) trip... As always our trip was unbelievable. We will be talking about tis trip for a very long time. Holt and Davis are ready to go back tomorrow if they could.
Thanks again,
Mitch, Jeff, Ron, Davis, and Holt Rader

My son Keith and I had a wonderful time last weekend at Kettle Falls. Had a great guide, caught lots of fish, nice ones, and everything else was first class as usual. See you next year...
Larry Campbell

Hi George and Sharon,
Thank you very much for your hospitality. We had a great time. My father-in-law has not stopped talking about it.
Thanks again,
Al Fenton

Hello Sharon,
Thank you, and all the folks at Kettle Falls, for another excellent fishing vacation.  My brother and I really enjoy our time at your facilities. I have attached the pictures that we took on Friday, when my brother (Jack), and I received our trophy bass awards.  We caught 5 trophy bass at the fly out lake on Friday, and I’m sure if we were better anglers, that we would have had more. Thank you again for the excellent vacation, and I hope we get to do it again next year.
Sincerely,
Bill Couchon

Far above the normal service that I have received in the past. First class all the way.
Norm Boyle

Thank you all so very much for providing the best vacation we have ever had!!!!!
Your outstanding hospitality, the great attitudes of your pilots, and your all around professional and courtesy service is 2nd to none! Also thank you for shipping Garrett's missing video games, he's so happy!
Jeff, Tom, Garrett, & I had a weeks worth of world class outstanding Smallmouth Bass fishing! We are looking forward to next year and counting down the days.
Thanks again,
Brandon V.

20 year veteran of Halley's. Love it up there!
Jill Gutzmer

Thanks for a great trip - and please pass on my best wishes to Lindy, the ultimate fishing coach. Some say men go fishing to escape nagging from their wives - they've never fished with our friend Lindy!
Thanks a bunch,
Andrew Steiman

A song: Words by Bob Green, 5/23/2009, to the tune of "Home On The Range"
1st Verse:
Oh give me a home
Where the bald eagles roam
Where the walleye and northern pike play
For Halley's is best
They will pass every test
And the guides are not grumpy all day.
Chorus:
Fly, Fly to the lakes
With Brian, young Mac, Rob and Gene (and don't forget George!);
And big fish in view
Thanks to Great Manitou
We'll be back to repeat every scene.
2nd Verse:
We may go insane
From the sleet and the rain
We'll be cold and we'll bitch all the while
But the fish will respond
In the Kettle Falls pond
And the trophy fish make us all smile!
Repeat Chorus.

Hi Sharon, We arrived home safely on Wed. evening and the flight with Gene to Minaki was safe and smoooooth. Thanks to you, George, Gene and all your staff for their hospitality and friendliness. Also, thanks to our friendly guide, for all the attention he gave to our group and the TLC he extended to Len -- the most senior person in our group. We all had a great time --- even in the inclement weather.
As you know, we got 3 trophy fish certificates, two for small mouth bass and one for a 27" walleye. Your trophy certificate program is a good way to foster conservation . However, we did manage to devour walleye daily at the great shore lunches we enjoyed.
Best wishes for a good season and give our regards to the staff and guides at Kettle.
Sincerely
Gary Steiman

Sharon/George/Halley's.....Thanks again for a great trip. It's always great to be at Kettle Falls with you. It was also a lot of fun to share the experience with six new "fishing buddies". We hope to add to that experience with some more new father/son combos next year from Carmel.
Thanks, Steve

My eleven year old son and I just returned from our second annual week long trip there. We both had a great time while we were there and are already looking forward to coming back next year. You guys run a great camp! Everyone we have met there is friendly, welcoming and helpful. Many thanks for helping to make our father and son experience there a great memory. We'll see you next year!
Tim and Jake Butler
PS: Jake asked if you would pass along a special thanks to the whoever makes the French Toast. He said your French Toast is the best he's ever had...

Hi Sharon,
I thank you for the excellent attention and service for last week's fishing trip. It seems to me that Halley's gets better and better each year!
Respectfully,
Mike Esser

Amber: Again we had a great time during our stay. The breakfasts were great, got us on the water quicker and without dishes to do. Again the girls caught the biggest trophy’s.
Thanks
Doug Prantner

Hi to everyone at Halley's!
We had a great time fishing at Kettle Falls. John and Frank from Calgary agreed that they had the best walleye fishing they've ever experienced. Bruce's "wounded knee" kept him on shore for some of the trip, but our guide Mac made him feel better by naming one of his hot spots for him.John says the 28" walleye he caught on the morning just before catching the plane was the pefect way to cap off the trip.
Darell Plummer

You have the best service and fishing real estate in the world.
Fondly, Tony Lubarsky

Hello Sharon/George/Brian/Gene....
This was Matt and my fifth year at Kettle Falls..... Each year has it's highlights and this year was no different. The fishing, service, facilities and people continue to set the bar on quality and trips to remember. I create a photo album of our trip each year. Here's what I put in the front cover of this years....
* Largest average walleye size EVER
* Five muskies on the line.... but, three in the boat
* Two moose swimming in the Sturgeon River
* The unbelievably strong northerns in Irregular Lake
* Matt's 29 and 29.25 inch trophy walleyes
* Dad's 41.5 inch trophy northern
Thanks, Steve Szaudtke

Hey guys, It was my son Ben's first year and he had a great time, wants to come back every year which I'm sure he will. If he sees his picture on your web site(Bee Lake Photos), it would be a very big deal to him! My brother in law is another "first timer" as well that will be back. Thanks!
Mark Long

We are gearing up for our 7th annual trip to Caribou Falls Landing, heading up for the week of May 27th. It’s a trip we look forward to all year, and a great chance to hang out with the guys for a week of great fishing. The fishing is always excellent in May, and we usually hook into many trophy walleye and a few trophy Northern.
Todd Denison

Had an awesome time - my biggest catch in fresh waters: 40"northern and 28"walleye (Kette Falls Lodge Photos).
Marc Pantaleo

I just completed my first trip to Kettle Falls in the company of five other regular visitors. As much as those five guys talked up the place, I was expecting the reality to be much different. It was. It was better than they had described. The accomodations, service, fishing, facilities, and attention of the staff were all extraordinary. The beauty and majesty of the locale defy description. I will be back - often.
David Jones

George and Sharon, Thanks again for a GREAT fishing trip the first week of September.
Ron Reneberg

Gene, Wanda, and family, just wanted to thank all of you for the fabulous week up on Chase Lake. Tons of fish. But most importantly, for our 35th Wedding Anniversery you guys were what we wanted - what more could parents ask for than uniterupted time with their children. Something we couldn't have done on a Cruise, or some other Vacation spot - No cell phones, emails, ESPN, places to go, etc. We saw Eagles, Otters, Deer, Loons and Ducks, Beaver, Caribou, even a Timber Wolf. By switching Boat partners everyday we were able to have uninterupted talks with each of our 4 adult boys and learn about what was going on in their lives.
While the Northern lights were incredible, the glow on all our boys faces from catching fish, laughing, teasing, joking around, and just getting together for a week in God"s Country was extremely special to Nancy and I. With our youngest leaving for college, and another living in another City, Your beautiful place was where we wanted to be to remember old memories of past trips and make new one's! It was all that and more!! All of the Halley Family is special to us, your honesty and truthfulness, service, and friendship mean the world to us!! Halley's isn't just a business - it's an experience all families should enjoy!!!
Joe Huppe

Looking forward to next year! You guys do an oustanding job.
Warren Laird

We fished June 11-15, leaving on the 16th and "FABULOUS" fishing it was. We hated to leave. Our meals from "Chef Sharon" were outstanding as always. I don't know if we will ever be able to come back after this last fishing experience. How can the fishing ever get any better? I must mention our outstanding guide Albert, not only as a fishing guide, but as a person that is fun being with on the lake. Thanks to everyone for another outstanding stay and see you next year.
Larry Kruse

George, Sharon and staff:Thanks for a wonderful experience again this year. Everything was great and the fishing was fantastic. We will be back again next year. Thanks and we’ll see you next year!
Steve Reed

I wanted to pass along photos taken when a group of us stayed at Bee Lake at the end of June this summer. Feel free to use. Thanks again for the memories. Hopefully in the future we will be able to arrange another trip!
The Stavers

…I just wanted to thank you again…The fishing was great. Sharon’s food and smile fantastic. And Brian as helpful and friendly as ever… You guys have such a special place and the memories created there will stay with us always. I hope someday to be able to get Gary’s family and all our sons back up again. If my father instilled one thing in his grandsons it was the love of fishing and Halley’s is the closest place to heaven that there is on this earth… While you guys are 1000 miles away you are always in our thoughts and memories. Thank you, very, very much. It all started at Caribou with my dad, and it took us way too long to get back to Kettle… Your hospitality, atmosphere, just everything is so very special…With tremendous gratitude and appreciation,
Joe

We had a great time this year. The food was great. The weather was a little wet but we caught a lot of fish. Five of us fished for five days and caught 9 trophies and over 800 fish. Thanks!
James Gregg

Dear Halley's, Here are just a few of hundreds of pictures I've taken over the past 10 years of vacations at Halley's. It's during this time of year that I look them over and over and remember the good times with friends and my son who is now all grown up. Thank you! Please share them on your website (Caribou Falls Landing Photos).
Bill Thomas

While I still make my regular trip each summer to Sharpstone L. with the guys, I decided it was time to make a family trip to Chase L. My eight year old son, Jackson, is a fishing fool and my wife holds her own in the boat as well. We fished for four days (approx. 10 hrs/day) and boated well over 600 walleyes. On the third day my son made a comment that will stick with me forever. He said,”Hey, there isn’t a TV in this cabin”. Now you see why I take my family to Canada. It is a wonderful time to fish, sightsee, hike, and get away from civilization. As always, Gene and the Halley’s Camp staff provides a wonderful vacation getaway. I can’t wait for my two trips next year.
Mike Nelson

Sharon: Attached are a couple of photos taken earlier this week. The photo of myself and my wife was taken during the first ten minutes of fishing the first day. Brian was our guide and the two fish were 26 1/2″ and 25″. Nice start to a wonderful time. Great facilities, great staff, good food and excellent fishing. See you next year.
Todd Wordelman

Gene, Just a quick note of thanks for a great trip to One Man Lake last week. I've been coming to the lake since 1981 and it just keeps getting better and better. My father came with me over 15 years ago and this trip I brought my son for his first trip and he's hooked to say the least. I've included a photo of his 42" northern that I thought you'd like to see. He won big fish of the week for our group of 17 fishermen staying at One Man Lake. Can't wait to see you in the Fall for our hunt.
Thanks again,
Charlie Pittman

Hi, This is our second time at your camp. We had a great time last summer and all three of us caught Trophy Fish. We are part of the Jim Cheney group in the cabin at the top of the hill (Caribou Falls Landing) and are already planning for coming back... Thanks for all Your Hospitality, You run a first class operation.
Clayton Will

Just got home from our week at Bee Lake. Had a blast. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to Wingiskus next year. All of the crew were super.
Ed August

George & Sharon: You, your family and all of your associates were fantastic! Your hospitality is so genuine and your service is unparalleled. You made our family vacation a lifetime memory! Albert and Jamie were terrific guides that put us on the fish and provided excellent care for all of us. A special thanks to all of you for making Dad's 84th birthday so memorable. Zach and Jake had a great time and really improved their fishing skills. We also enjoyed all of the wildlife (moose, caribou, beaver, otter, eagles, etc) and hope that your government preserves these pristine waterways and beautiful land so that future generations have the same opportunity to be inspired by such natural beauty! We hope to see you next year during the week of July 4th. Thanks a million for such a fantastic vacation!
Mark Weikel

Dear George and Sharon, Thank you for another fantistic trip to Kettle Falls. Everyone in the Bogaert group truely enjoyed themselves, even our two first timers, who will most likely be coming back. Thanks again and we look forward to coming back soon.
David Bogaert

Had a great trip to Moosehorn and caught over 100 smallmouth bass every day!!! We actually caught 150 smallmouth bass, including one over 19 inches and several 16-18 inchers, during a 195 minute period on Trout Lake. Many northern pike caught during the trip also with the largest being 34 inches. Great time and I have attached a few photos of the trip.
Gary Hickman

This is the pike that was my trophy fish (Kettle Falls Lodge). Sharon and I wanted to thank you for a wonderful week of fishing. We loved having Brian as our guide. We look forward to seeing you next summer.
Sharon & Ron Hames

Thank you so much for your monthly newsletter. Our family have been coming up to see you for the past couple of years and plan to continue the Frazey family tradition for many years to come. The fishing is always great and your staff is always helpful and friendly. Thank you for making each year so memorable. My brother recently caught a 5lb. small mouth and wanted to post the pic with you (Caribou Falls Landing Photos). It was an awesome catch! Thanks again.
Russ Frazey

We had a great time last week at One Man. Attached is a picture of my father-in-law and a 23” walleye he caught on the first day in the narrows. We caught well over 250 walleye in 4 days, with a few northern pike in the 20-25” range.
Thanks…Don Tripp

Dear George and Sharon: Just wanted to let you know we arrived home safely. We also wanted to say thank you to everyone for such a great time. That is the first vacation we had together in almost two years and we could not think of a better place to spend it than at Kettle Falls. We both are looking forward to next year. I will see you again in September.
Sincerely,
David

Gene and Wanda,
We had a great time fishing Moosehorn Lake. Here are some pictures for your site.
Kristie Kindstrom

The story goes something like this; on September 27th, David Freers caught a grand slam in one morning - a 19" smallmouth, followed by a 41" northern, and finally a 27" walleye, all caught before noon! David has been coming to Halley's for 30 years and always comes late September for the fantastic fishing....14 muskies caught on September 25, in Irregular, fishing with Bill Angell and George Halley. One of the best muskie days ever. (One Man Lake Lodge Photos). As you can see, the trip was fantastic but what do I do for an encore? I'll just have to see next year.
David Freers

Dear Gene: First of all, we just want to say what a fantastic fishing trip my son joey and I had fishing Trapline and Margot lakes this past summer. I havent had the time to thank you but of all the fishing trips we've taken this one overall was the best. We'd like to do it again next summer... The only thing we didnt get this summer is photos because I got the camera wet, so we just have to do it again next year.
Joe Hutter

Here is a pic of a Smallmouth caught in Routine Lake... (Caribou Falls Landing Photos) This is from our second trip and have already booked our third trip... You people are the best!!
Thanks again,
Sean Caradori

Hey Gene, this is our second trip to Sharpstone Lake but the first time we went in June. The fishing was phenomenal and the cabin looked great... Here are some pictures of the big northern we hooked into, sorry they're so late. Thanks for an outstanding trip, can't wait until next year.
Pictures:

Sean also caught a 39 inch Northern.
Todd Saunders

What a great trip!! Can't wait to return. You guys are THE BEST!!! (Kettle Falls Lodge)
Don & Hank Brunjes

Just a note to thank you and your whole group for an great time at Doswell Lake Outpost. We had great fishing for walleyes on the portage lakes and plenty of small mouth and pike on Doswell. The cabin was great. We enjoyed the views from the deck each night and morning. The bonfire was great at night. It was a great time!!! I really like the solar system for the lights it is so much more peaceful than a generator. The water system worked well. The hot showers were so welcome after a long day of fishing and portaging.
Jon Day

As promised, here is a photo of the Trophy fish I caught on July 30 on Pressure Lake (Long Lake Outpost)... Also, this was really my first fishing experience and definitely my first fly in experience and I want to thank all you for making my experience such a positive one. The flight, cabin and customer service was awesome. I know I will be back!!!
Thanks again....
Gale Theroux

Here are some of our pictures from our trip July 1-5 (Kettle Falls Lodge Photos). We had a great time and are talking about a return trip with friends. THANKS again we had a great time.
Russel Walker

Gene, Once again we had a great trip, this time to Rex Lake and walleye bountiful Little Rex... some bad weather, but it did not deter us from catching lots of fish, especially walleye and northern pike on Little Rex. Smallmouth bass were below normal for Rex due to the cold weather, but several big ones were caught. Looking forward to next year!!
Gary Hickman

Amber and Chris, Thought I would pass along a picture of my son first English River Walleye (Caribou Falls Landing Photos). Thanks for making our trip a great experience.
Dan Kanis

Good morning - just wanted to thank you again for the great cabin, great fishing and great service we had last week at Salveson Lake. It is one of the most memorable fly-in adventures we have taken in the past ten years! Thanks again and enjoy the pictures. The northern w/me in the Pink tshirt is 37", the walleye w/me in the rain gear is 25", the smallmouth w/Ed at the falls is the 20" one that you gave him the Trophy Waters hat for and the northern w/Ed is 34". All in all - it rocked!!!!
Vicki Good

As usual, we had a fantastic time fishing with Brian! What a wonderful vacation (Kettle Falls Lodge). Have a good winter.
Judith Carlsen

I have fished around the world, Cabo St Lucas, Costa Rica, Cancun, Key West, St Petes / Clearwater and all over Ontario, North Channel and Lake Simcoe but The Halley’s Fishing Camps are truly the best Fishing, (Walleye Pickerel Fishing) that I have ever encountered, our group of 12 guests had a unbelievably great time. The boat I was in one 4 hour period caught over 32 fish, of various sizes, in one of our our associate boats Stan caught at 27-28 inch Walleye, in the previous evening the night before I caught a 10-12 pound pike off the dock. The staff, the guides, and our camp were wonderful, Jeff, Karen, Allison were awesome. The Food was like your grandmother cooked, truly homemade! I would highly recommend for any business and/or vacation plans, this one of the best Fly-in Fishing trips I have ever been on.
Don Bremner

Hi Everyone! We had a good trip to Halley's week of Labor Day. The first two days were slow due to a cold front that came through, but the last day was excellent weather and fishing. I got the 35 inch northern and my brother pulled in a 29 1/2 inch walleye (Caribou Falls Landing Photos).
Mike Baker

Thought you might enjoy pictures from the Dobbs party last week at Kettle Falls. The first is a 29 ¾” walleye caught by Joe Dobbs last Monday. It took 11 years but I finally eclipsed 29 inches... Great times this year as always. Best wishes for a continuing successful fishing season.
Joseph D. Dobbs

What a great trip…again! Attached are a few pictures from our trip June 13, 14, 15. We caught a 27” walleye off the dock, numerous large pike but the show was stolen with our amazing 41” Pike (Kettle Falls Lodge). Enjoy, and thanks for the good time.
Dan Dieringer

Thank you for the wonderful trip to Dowswell Lake. It was a great time catching all those walleye, pike, smallies, and the laker. Attached are a few pics we took on the trip (Dowswell Lake Photos). Thanks again!
Timothy Olson

We had a fantastic trip! We were very satisfied with every aspect of the trip, including great fishing, facilities, service, food, guide service, staff helpfulness, friendliness, and committment to making our experience the very best that it could be! We caught 2 trophy Northern Pike, 3 trophy smallmouth bass, several near trophy walleye, and boated around 450 fish in our 5 days of fishing. Thanks for everything and we look forward to returning to Halley's Camps next summer.
Sincerely,
Bill Harting

Thank you all for a beautiful and wonderful experience.
Jane Doerflinger

I am really excited to return to Halley's for a second trip. My first Canada experience this past Fourth of July will always remain potentially my best. Prior to Caribou Falls the biggest fish I caught was a 30" Pike. The first day I was delighted in the constant hits and catches for Walleye, we had our limit. SO I went for the crank baits and pulled a 35"er, thinking this was the best I had. On the second to last day, Walleye were slowing so we starting trolling to find a deeper hole for the limit, at first I thought I had a stump, but the drag went and I was in for a 40 1/2" trophy.(After seeing some pics online, I think it might be bigger than 40 1/2, we only had a 36" ruler to go from.) Wow, I still feel the yank and pull, it was the most fun I have had on the water (Caribou Falls Landing Photos). I hope I can beat it next year.
Regards-
Bruce Mohns
"A Halley's lifer on the first experience, first impressions are lasting impressions."

George & Sharon, Attached is a picture of the 44 inch musky that my 12 year old grandson, Garrett Henson, caught on a fly-out trip. Priceless! (Kettle Falls Lodge Photos)
Don Henson

Amber, This is a nice picture of an exceptional smallmouth Jason caught (Caribou Falls Landing Photos). It was 19 1/4 inches but as you can see is a really nice fish. We had a great time and appreciate being able to spend the week with you.
Best regards, Paul Dickson

Dear George and Sharon, Just a quick note to say we got home safely; again, another great trip. I was telling Susie about your wonderful spaghetti and hopefully you can make it while we are there. We are so looking forward to our august trip.
David and Susie

Amber, I was w/ the Gergen party a week or so ago. This is the 45 inch northern (Caribou Falls Landing Photos).
Mike Diebold

Just wanted to Thank Gene and everyone at Halleys again, As Usual we had a great time. Moosehorn is Truly a Beautiful Lake and cabin. Even Though the weather didn't cooperate some days,we still caught fish! Maybe Gene can fix the weather for us next year... I'm sure he can cause cause his attention to detail and making sure his guests always have a great trip really shines through. Thats one of many reasons we always return to Halleys. The staff is always Friendly and helpful, and thanks to Jamie's tip I caught the biggest Northern of my life!...a 44 incher! The Day trip to Irregular lake is and will always be a great Memory for me in my life, Having Jamie for a pilot and Guide was a real Highlight. He did a Fantastic job! We look Forward to Coming Back to moosehorn again this year as well as seeing all the great people at Halleys. Attached are a few Pictures from the trip.
Sincerely,Steve Krom

We had a great time!
John Enloe

Trophy Pike catches from the Miller Family (Caribou Falls Landing Photos): 41" Northern Pike-Caribou Falls, caught by Erin Miller 42 1/2" Northern Pike-Caribou Falls, caught by Melinda Keesee. Of course the guys have been coming to the outposts for 15 years...and we "women" catch the big ones on our first trip! Thanks for a great week of fishing!
Erin Miller

Thank you all for the great experience. I want to say I was not let down yet again. I fully anticipate a third trip next Fourth of July, who needs fireworks when the fish can replace the excitement. Attached are two trophies for me, a 39 inch Pike and a 19-1/2 bass both pulled from Twelnor (Caribou Falls Landing Photos). It never ends up there.
Thanks again. Bruce Mohns Jr.

Attached are some pics from our recent trip to Kettle Falls Lodge. My son Mitch caught a 29 1/2" Walleye and a 42 1/2" Northern. I caught a 42" Northern (Kettle Falls Lodge). I think Mitch was spoiled on his first trip up there!
Regards, Jim Ralson

Amber I thought you would like to see the ones that didn’t get away, but were released to be caught again (Caribou Falls Landing Photos). Kathy’s northern was over 39 inches. This fish put on a good show splashing and diving time and again. Kathy was fishing with a jig and 8 lb line. Phyllis’s northern was 35 inches and was netted holding onto a 12 inch walleye.Phyllis and I caught our double near One Man Lake Lodge. My fish was 20 inches and Phyllis’s was 25 inches. Once again the women out fished the men. Thanks again for all your help.
Doug Prantner

Just returned home from 4 Great Days of Walleye fishing at Kettle Falls. We had a wonderful time. Cheryl caught 2 Trophy walleyes - 28+ inches. Attached (hopefully) is a picture of her holding one of them (Kettle Falls Lodge Photos). Don took very good care of a couple of walleye rookies. This was Cheryl's first time in Canada and this was definitely the largest fish she has ever caught. Thanks for a wonderful trip. See you next year.
Al Shadensack

I just wanted to say thanks again for being our host during another great trip. I have attached a picture that I took of Randy and the trophy northern that he caught on September 1 (Caribou Falls Landing Photos). See you next year.
Doug Klahsen

Hope everyone up North is doing well! The Wambsganss party made it home safe and sound, back to work and hating every minute of it. Thought I would drop you a picture I had of Michael's trophy: 38 inch Northern (Kettle Falls Lodge Photos). Thanks for everything while we stayed with you. The food, service, accommodations, people, just everything was spectacular. Holler if you get down to Colorado.
Randy Wambsganss

Hello! Just wanted to email a picture of my 39.5 inch Northern that I caught on July 1st up at Kettle Falls. Hopefully it will make the website! (Kettle Falls Lodge Photos) We had a great time and you did a nice job with the kids. Lindy was our guide for three days and he did an excellent job with my 6 year old son, Benjamin. As a matter of fact, Benjamin led the group with over 40 fish caught the first day, and he just missed netting a trophy Northern on his second day. Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
Jeff and Benjamin Hall

We had a great time and the fishing was awesome.
Thanks, Mike Messagie

Greetings from Ohio, This trip was my son's college graduation gift and he enjoyed catching lots of fish, including eight trophies! I included a picture of his very first fly in trip when he was 9-years-old and a couple from this summer...14 years later (Caribou Falls Landing Photos). (He has made several trips in between!) Thank you for the hospitality!
The Millers

Thank you so much, both trips were awesome.I hope you enjoy the photos (Rolston Lake Outpost).
Marty Kinney

(Kettle Falls Lodge Photos) Just one of 8 trophies taken by party of 6 in 4 days in the English River System. Also 8 muskies boated in a one day fly out. Add the hospitality of George and Sharon and the staff at Kettle Falls and it just does not get much better than this. Our party has been going here for about 10 years and hope to continue for a very long time. George and Sharon, Thanks for another great time.
Vance Westhusin

Amber, Again we enjoyed our short stay at Caribou Falls. Neal’s head is so big after catching a 41 inch northern, I can’t believe it. Phyllis and Jamie caught the biggest walleyes while I quietly guided the boat. I hope you can use these pictures in your next news letter. We look forward to seeing you July 2nd. Thanks to all your staff they are the best.
Good Luck, Doug & Phyllis Prantner

These pictures were taken the week of May 28-June 1st at Sharpstone Lake Outpost. As you can see we had a great trip. Thanks!
Tom Lupkes

The Moon family, Teri, Alex, Dan, Dave and our dog, Bailey, had a trip that greatly exceeded our expectations. The boys calculated that they caught between 450 and 600 fish during our three days on the water at Kettle Falls and 4 days at Moosehorn. They've talked so much about how much they learned from Brian and how much they enjoyed his company, that they're concerned about hurting my feelings! He was absolutely wonderful... Teri and I are basking in the memories and counting the days. We can't wait to come back. Finally, thanks to everyone, particularly Sharon, who took such good care of us even when we neglected to pack everything we need to stay at the outpost. You're the greatest!

I enjoyed my fishing trip to Halley's Camps as part of Don Kruse's group. Fishing was great this year and I was fortunate to land a 28 1/2 inch walleye on July 20th. You ask that I send you a photo which you will find attached (Caribou Falls Landing Photos). We all had a great time and made a few more memories. Like your new lodge!

This was my son Matt and my 7th trip to Kettle..... and, believe it or not, they get better each year..... Just for the record.... we had 5 trophy Smallmouth this trip (and we weren't even really trying), a trophy Northern (and, too many 34" to 37.5" to count), and a 43" muskie at lake irregular (and, it is true... the northerns in Irregular are the toughest fighting fish I've ever experienced). By the way, we even caught 58 walleyes right off the dock at Kettle in just under 90 minutes..... WOW! We've already booked our return trip for next year.....
The pictures are (Kettle Falls Lodge Photos):
* Two of our Trophy Smallmouth
* Matt's 43" Muskie from Irregular
* My Trophy Northern
* A picture perfect "fat" English River Northern
* Another great English River Walleye

Dear Gene, Just a note to say " Thank you " to you and ALL your crew for the fine service during our stay at Trapline. The ice and water are those extras that are really appreciated by all.

Bob Frederick and the rest of the guys......

Hey everyone at Halley's Camps. I was part of the Frederick group that flew out to Trapline last week. I must say we had an excellent time. The cabin and the boats were very accomodating as well as the flight checks. Our group enjoyed some of the best fishing we have had in years. Thanks again for all of your hard work and generosity. We look forward to flying out next year.

Our third annual trip to the Wingiskus Outpost starts on Tuesday, May 30th. The year previous to that was at the Bee Lake Outpost. To say we’re excited, once again, is an understatement! The cabin is first rate. The fishing is almost machine like. Halley’s run a first rate operation and we hope to be trekking around “Halley’s Country” for years to come!

After talking about going on a trip to an outpost for over 10 years we finally booked a trip to Long Lake last year. I can’t say enough what an absolutely great time it was. It was even better then I had imagined over all the years. Like some one else mentioned - Halley's run a first rate operation - is the truth. We couldn’t have had a better time or service. The Halley's and their staff were great. We will definitely be going back again!

Just got home from a week of fishing at Dowswell Lake. Had a great trip. Caught three trophy Smallmouth bass, hundreds of Walleyes, some nice pike and many good size Smallmouth Bass. Bait was the ticket for Walleyes while Kinami worms in a variety of colors fished wacky worm style killed the Smallmouth. As usual the Pike hit everything including top water plugs. We also saw several Moose and some Bald Eagles. We are already planning next years trip.

We have a party of 6 going to Chase lake the last week of June and this is our 5th year and the fishing has been to say the least fantastic. We average 1000 - 1200 walleyes for the week that we are there. My personal best was 118 walleyes in a day. Northern and Smallmouth fishing is also good. Halleys run a first rate outpost cabin business, friendly staff, when there is a problem always take care of them with a smile. I have been to other outposts and NONE compare to Halleys.

Dear gene and all the great folks at Halleys. Just wanted to drop you a note to thank you for the wonderful time we had while staying at Wingiskus outpost. The fishing could not have been better, we caught over 130 fish and a few trophy smallies during our stay! Your staff is the best, especially James, Rick, Rob and of course yourself. Your attention to detail and kindness really shines thru. The food was top notch and I actually put on 5 lbs! The cabin at Wingiskus was first rate and far better than other outposts I have been to over the past 15 years. I look forward to seeing you all again next year, and again thank you for a very memorable and wonderful time. Take care,be safe and have a great winter….stay warm!

I’ve been to Halley’s camps twice in the past 10 years. We are heading up again this year on July 21st. I’m taking my 11 year old son and both his grandpas. I can’t wait to see him catch his first walleye, northern and smallmouth. We stayed at the Landing and Kettle Falls previously. This year, we are going to One Man since my uncle stays there every year and likes it the best. He has all of his fishing spots on his GPS unit and he recently sent the me a map with all of the Waypoints marked! I’m so excited for this trip. The hospitality, food and fishing are all great! Nine weeks to go…
Don

Just came back from One Man Lake Lodge. Staff was fantastic, fishing was fantastic. Highly recomend to all.

We just wanted to say thanks very much for your fine hospitality last week when we had the pleasure to stay at both Moosehorn and One Man Lake Lodge. The pickeral feast was excellent as was the sauna, shuffleboard, hockey game, cold beer, etc. We had an excellent trip to the woods of NW Ontario. Thanks for everything. We will always remember our trip.
Cheers,
John & Karen

My brother, Bob, and I, along with our 80 year old dad have been coming to Kettle for years. The fishing, accommodations, and food are all first rate. As Bob says every year on the trip up, “I’m not going fishing, I’m going catching!!!” We’re all looking forward to our return!

I am 31 years old and I have made 30 trips to Halley’s, my first one being when I was 10 months old. It is a tradition that my grandfather started… and now my daughters go (the 4th generation of Powell’s to go fishing in Canada). I remember the old saw mill, Grandpa Louis in the old Blue Goose, and taking baths off the dock. It is a wonderful family vacation that I look forward to every summer, as does my husband. The fishing is excellent and the scenery breathtaking! Sorry though, we’re not giving up our hot spots!!
Leslie (Powell) Collins

I am the grandaughter of Richard Powell and I have made nine trips up to Halley’s Camps and I am only fifteen years old. My Great Grandpa started this tradition and I intend on keeping it! We have lots of other traditions when we go up there. Like fishing in our fishing holes that nobody knows about! All of my cousins and I love to go swimming off the dock and beach at Caribou Falls Landing. Happy Fishing and don’t catch all the big ones!

To all involved in making our stay as fantastic as it was, thank you. This was our 4th trip, and by far the best. Just when we thought it couldn't be any better it was. The staff at River Air and One Man is just incredible. Everything was beyond belief, the people were friendly, helpful, and just made us feel right at home. We could not believe the incredible fishing, food, equipment, and accommodations. Thank you again for a wonderful and pleasurable week. We look forward to coming back!
